Christina
Ramon Wins All Around and Beam Regional
Championship!
Every year the eight states that
make up Region8-LA,MS,AL,GA,FL,TN,SC,NC- select
the top eight optional gymnasts in each state to
represent them in team competition. This
year the Level 7
Regional Championships were held the weekend of
April 16-18 at the BancCorp South Arena in Tupelo,
MS.
Two North Shore Flairs finished
in the top eight at state and earned the honor of
competing in the competition. Christina
Ramon hit four routines to take both the beam and
all around Championship Title. Ramon also
finished third on Floor, 10th on bars and 11th on
vault. Alex Wandler led in the All Around
for part of the meet but had an uncharacteristic
fall on beam which dropped her to fifth in the All
Around. She also captured the silver on
vault and bars.
Louisiana finished second behind
a very strong North Carolina team.
